The UK has committed to protect 30% of land and sea for nature by 2030 (30by30), to support the global 30by30 target agreed at the UN Biodiversity Summit (COP15) in 2022.
The UK government has published criteria for land which will count towards this target and is gathering data that will be updated and published annually. Data for the North Pennines National Landscape will be published on the data dashboard.
