How to read this plan

Welcome to the draft Management Plan for the North Pennines National Landscape and UNESCO Global Geopark, 2026 – 2031.

This plan can be read in a linear fashion by progressing through the tabs in order; you can also go straight to particular areas of interest, from the background through to specific components of natural beauty (e.g. peatlands) or thematic areas like public engagement with nature.

Each of the components of natural beauty or thematic areas has one or more associated outcomes, and a series of measures that, if taken, would lead towards achieving the outcome.  Achieving the outcomes collectively is intended to bring about the realisation of the Vision.
